Meet The Providers

The following providers have all successfully completed EFL Training with AEFL and are considered competent to provide EFL sessions. They all have relevant insurance, first aid training and appropriate clearance for working with children ( WWC, Blucard etc ) Registered Programs also have facilities that comply with AEFL standards for running EFL sessions (both individual and group). The headquarters for AEFL Pty Ltd but we still like to “practice what we preach”! Most of our focus is on training and supporting other facilitators and programmes but we still provide EFL sessions for individuals and small groups. Our sessions are tailored to individual clients and can include access to a Clinical Psychologist and Dog therapist - all ages,abilities and disabilities catered for here!

Vanessa is a registered clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of mental health conditions.

Vanessa is part of the team at Australian Equine Facilitated Learning (AEFL) working alongside director Elaine Russell and a herd of ten wonderful therapy horses, based at Tooradin Estate.

She also holds a role as senior clinical psychologist at Cabrini Women’s Mental Health Service.

Her qualified therapy dog works with her, both individually and in groups.

Vanessa trained in both Australia and Germany and has held positions in a wide variety of mental health settings including public mental health clinics, hospital research clinics, inpatient facilities and private settings. She has extensive experience engaging with people of all ages and backgrounds.

In addition to her clinical roles, Vanessa has worked in the area of education and support for general practitioners, community health workers and teachers, to expand their mental health knowledge and skill base.

Vanessa is trained in a wide variety of evidence-based treatment. She enjoys working with each individual to develop a unique therapy plan that feels safe, supportive and empowering.

Because clinic based therapy does not suit everyone, she has completed additional training and offers therapy in a number of alternative settings, including animal assisted therapy and outdoor therapy.  Being an animal lover and having run her own small farm for over a decade, Vanessa enjoys bringing her knowledge and skills to this area.

Elizabeth operates from the picturesque Rainbow Ridge Farm in Boyup Brook which is located in the south west region of Western Australia.  Rainbow Ridge Farm is the base for several family operated businesses including  Barantuil and Capall.   

​

The Barantuil service offering blends Elizabeth’s 22 years of corporate leadership experience, her Masters of Leadership Degree study and research into neurodivergence with equine facilitated learning skills to offer both equine and traditional coaching and development for leaders. Elizabeth provides individual sessions and small group workshops for those seeking to enhance their self-awareness, team building and leadership capacity.

The Capall service offering blends Elizabeth’s life coaching and equine facilitated learning expertise to offer personal growth, healing and development to individual clients and small groups. Elizabeth is a diploma qualified life coach, level 2 Australian Equine Facilitated Learning facilitator who has also trained with the Centre for Equine Experiential Learning. While Elizabeth has secured funding and successfully delivered a two year program to support individuals with disabilities and their support network she now focuses on supporting women through life transitions.  This includes career change transition, menopause and perimenopause and managing late neurodivergent diagnosis.    

 

Elizabeth is a published author, her first book, Horses, Heartache and Healing’, tells the story of her journey with wild born horses and her personal discovery of the benefits of equine facilitated learning.  Elizabeth offers free meditations and e-books on the Rainbow Ridge Resources Page where you can also hear recordings of her radio interviews.

Elizabeth was also invited to participate in a documentary produced by young people with disability who participated in her two year program.  This documentary tells the stories of the participants and the facilitators who joined Elizabeth during the term of the program.

I am the founder and creator of Ebony Cox Equine Services (ECES).

I am an Agricultural/Equine Applied Scientist, with a love and passion for connecting horses and humans together. Teaching them the fundamental basics of horse behaviour, emotional response, and care.

​

I am determined to provide our participants and clients with a holistic, and professional service framed around the care and management of horses. My experience, education, and determination come together to provide our industry with scientific knowledge and up to date information.

​

I love teaching people of all abilities about Horsemanship, Management & Care, passing on knowledge, by expanding their understanding and giving them a base with no judgement – that should be experienced and available to everyone.
